What We Refuse to Use: No Flaking "Bonded Leather" or Toxic PVC

Many imported furniture retailers sell sofas labelled as "eco-leather", "reconstituted leather", or "bonded leather". In reality, bonded leather is only 10–17% shredded leather pulp glued onto paper or polyester backing with solvent-heavy polyurethane—which peels, cracks, and flakes within 2 to 4 years and cannot be repaired. Similarly, cheap PVC vinyls contain toxic phthalate plasticisers and chlorine that off-gas and turn brittle.
